I’d really like new pets to adopt from the pet adoption service, but they are always the same ones, not to mention the same breeds! How can I change this, and does it involve breeding?

To change a pet you must breed your pet with a different type of pet and it will be different. For example a poodle with a rock wilder to breed you pet buy a dog house the if your dog has a good relation ship with a norther dog than push train pet and push breed good luck.

You can only put new pets into the pet adoption service. You can do this by adopting a pet, and breeding the pet with a neighborhood dog or a dog that is already in your house. Then once your dog has puppies, you can put the puppies up for adoption. Hope I helped
You could also make a number of pets in create a sim and put them into a house with a sim and have them give them up for adoption. This doesn’t give you puppies or kittens but will give a different variety of adult pets.
