I also like to take my GM’s name and use it for a pet. That usually get’s a good laugh from guildies.

A lot of people have their own opinions and also gave some of their own pets name in WoW
depending on the pet, i like rambo for the bigger, more aggressive animals. if you don’t like that, try something like gondor or bobby. good luck. oh, and go beast mastery, it really, REALLY helps. have fun!
My current pets are a skettis cat named Tinkles, a BEM wolf named Nikki and a HFP Ravager named YourDaddy.
While leveling I had a cat named Xian, PL bat named Batley (Eureka’s Castle) and a barrens raptor named Barney.
I’m sure there are others, but I can’t think of them. I haven’t played my hunter since it hit 70 a year ago.
It depends on you and your likes and dislikes or what the name means.
I have a hunter with a tiger as a pet. Since I am an avid LSU fan, my tiger’s name is Geaux.
Well i have a lvl 50 hunter and i know a few good names.
If you wanna make the name for a bear mean and aggressive like bone crusher or flesh flayer or if you wanna make like i did in a weird way name it teddy or tiny.
Cats can have many weird names i named mine after my real cat lumpy or you could name it like duststalker.
Really you should just name from 2 categories Weird or Fierce.
I’m always a fan of the ironic or associative names.
For instance, pets I’ve seen or thought would be great:
Bear – Baloo, Yogi, Booboo
Cat – Pwnmages, Meowmix, Sheerkahn
Snake – Fluffy, Hissyfit
Turtle – Tanky, Snappy
Or, the hunters who have pets that match their names, like Flim and Flam, Peanutbutter and Jelly etc. They aren’t exactly fear-inducing, but that’s kind of the point. Cute names for deadly creatures are pretty fun. I mean, isn’t that why people roll Gnomes?
If you are PVE nerd go for something to get ladies or laughs as to PVP I would sugest naming ur pet with ur PVP parteners name. Alot of Mod and Ui programs get messy if you have 2 things with the same name, I know I would always lose agains this hunter who either had the same name as the pet or had priest in there with the same name so my targettig was scred up.

As you’re a hunter I’ll start out by recommending a boar. Yes, they are overused maybe but it’s because they are probably the best grinding pet out there and not to shabby for PvP either.
Being as all I’ve ever had are boars I’ll give you some names I’ve enjoyed:
- Bacon
- Wilbur (Charlotte’s Web)
- Breakfast
- Tusker (also type of Kenyan beer)

I usually go for colour names like Kanika which is an Egyptian name for Black or something like that.

I’m currently playing with a Tauren hunter and have a cougar as a pet called Humphrey, lol.
I think simple names are often better cause everyone makes names up.

Cats can have the stealth ability and high attack power… so something on those lines…
(As a hunter I highly recommend cats or raptors)

1st of all, i strongly, STRONGLY suggest a turtle for PVE, under lvl 55, trust me, they are a lot better than you’d think if u are a BM hunter, not to mention they have 4.9k armor at lvl 29 lol. As for names, depends on if u want it to be BA or not. i like Kaotika, Dizturbedwun, Grief, Agony, and my personal favorite Tormentor. If u want it to be “cute” go with Turnip, lol.
